A healer does not heal you.
A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself.

What is Reiki?
Simply speaking ~
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. We are alive because life force is flowing through us. We are made up of energy. Every cell in our body is energy.
The life force is responsive to thoughts and feelings and becomes disrupted when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves. These negative thoughts and feelings attach themselves to the energy field and cause a disruption in the flow of life force, which diminishes the vital function of the organs and cells of the physical body.
Reiki energy comes from God, also known as Source Energy, to the practitioner and through his/her hands to aid in healing. The Reiki practitioner is simply a channel for the healing energy that flows through him or her. Their hands are conduits for energy – balancing energy within and around the body.
By guiding the practitioner in the placement of the hands, the energy goes where it is needed most. It moves out blocked energies, cleanses the body of toxins, and works to create a state of balance on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Health is the free and balanced flow of energy. Disease or illness results when the flow of energy is interrupted.
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy from God. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In doing so, Reiki clears, straightens and repairs the energy pathways, allowing energy to flow freely in a healthy pattern.
As a complementary therapy, Reiki enhances traditional or alternative medical care by speeding the healing process. Reiki provides a means of restoring energy while one is recuperating. It is calming, relaxing, and balancing and can be used anytime and anywhere. Reiki is not used to diagnose or treat specific illnesses. Rather, Reiki practitioners focus on restoration, rebalancing, and harmonizing the energy flow in order to promote relaxation, decrease stress and anxiety, and increase a person’s general sense of well-being. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you.
