This past week has been a “tough” one energetically/emotionally as I have felt extra sensitive to the energies of people around me. I have been very conscious of not taking things personally and not “owning” what isn’t mine to own. Yesterday was particularly challenging as I was out and about running errands and keeping appointments; whereas the rest of the week I was in my protective cocoon at home.
I spent the past week purging the old, so that there is space for new energy. This involved cleaning out cabinets, going through closets with the intent to save or donate, and even assessing relationships. Shayne Traviss of VividLife.me quoted Jeff Brown to me during a conversation prior to the launch of Incomparably Comparable with Shelly Wilson on VividLife Radio and his words are my mantra for 2016, “Out with the old…in with the true!”
By the end of the day Friday, I was exhausted and climbed into bed before 8 pm. I woke up at 1:55 am and was then unable to fall back asleep for a couple of hours. During that time, I reflected on the past week’s experiences and especially what had just transpired during the day, including my interactions (and lack thereof) with others. I received some wonderful insight and am guided to share it in this blog post.
I recognize Mercury tends to get a lot of blame for communication issues when it goes retrograde. Rather than feeding its energy, I’m aware of what can be affected. The challenges I experienced yesterday all involved communication. I could take the easy road and blame Mercury OR I could delve further into my own be-ing.
I woke up this morning with greater clarity and a renewed since of self. The message that kept coming through is “Love them (him/her/it) more.” I perceived this to mean that when you are met with emotionally “trying” situations, it is essential to love the person, place or thing even more rather than to become angry, frustrated or hurt by their words and actions or lack thereof. We can hang on to the emotions that don’t feel good or we can honor what we are feeling and then consciously move into a space that feels better.
The journey into consciousness we are on isn’t always pleasant, fun and exciting. We can choose. You can choose. I can choose. Each one of us has the power to create the reality we desire.
