The Gift of Endings

gift-7

Recent experiences have afforded me the opportunity to fully acknowledge the gift of endings.  Without providing all of the details, I will convey that I have spent much-needed time the last few weeks reflecting, feeling my emotions and allowing myself to receive this beautiful gift. I made the conscious decision to step away from a volunteer position, so that I could focus the same time and energy investment on my own work. Literally within minutes of doing so, a new opportunity greeted me.

Experience life in all possible ways — good-bad, bitter-sweet, dark-light, summer-winter. Experience all the dualities. Don’t be afraid of experience, because the more experience you have, the more mature you become. ~ Osho

I truly believe that God/Spirit/Universe will always show us contrasting experiences. In doing so, it allows us to know what feels good and what doesn’t. I was feeling frustrated, which is why I knew it was the right time to step away. The next week, I was guided to share my new venture on Facebook. My actions of stepping away were immediately misconstrued by a few, which in turn, was also a gift as I was relieved of my duties two weeks early and was completely removed from their community.

You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.
~ Maya Angelou

Honestly, I was confused, feeling hurt and even questioned why I had previously invested so much time and energy to be shuffled away so quickly. I totally understand now that the ending had to be strong, so that I would fully walk away. In other words, the proverbial door hit me in the rear and locked as I was walking out.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time. ~ Maya Angelou

My 45th Birthday was a few days later, and I received the gift of a new year. We have just a few days remaining in this calendar year, and it is a time to close the proverbial door on those aspects in our life that no longer feel good, so that there is space for new energy and new opportunities to come in. This also includes new relationships.

Many people have come and left, and it has been always good because they emptied some space for better people. It is a strange experience, that those who have left me have always left places for a better quality of people. I have never been a loser… ~ Osho

As we enter into another new year, I invite you to take a moment to pause, reflect and simply BREATHE. Allow experiences from 2015 to come into your awareness, so that you can acknowledge them. Now, breathe in deeply and let go of any lower vibrational emotions that wash over you, such as fear, worry, doubt, regret, guilt, shame, anger, frustration, etc. and breathe in the higher vibration of love. Focus your energy in this present moment and allow yourself to be wrapped in the loving embrace of the Divine. Choose to see the blessings within the challenges. When you do, you will automatically shift the energy of those experiences.

Personally speaking, I received the gift of time and clarity (by being relieved of my duties early) as well as the blessing of a new experience. I will admit that perhaps I dwelled on the perceived unraveling a bit too long. With that said, I’m very appreciative of those individuals (you know who you are) in my life who assisted me with putting things in perspective and closing the door on this experience completely.

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion,
some compassion, some humor, and some style.
~ Maya Angelou

Rather than stating new year resolutions, I invite you to proclaim your intentions for the new year just as I am. Choose to be a conscious creator and believe that you are worthy to receive and achieve all that you desire! What do you desire? What do you wish to achieve? What do you intend to create and manifest?

Courage is a love affair with the unknown. ~ Osho

I am extremely grateful for this experience, and I know 2016 is going to be an amazing year on many levels. I’m ready to step outside of my comfort zone and into the unknown of what is unfolding. Let the doors close, so that new windows of opportunity open up for you. Receive the gift of endings, so that you can have fabulous new beginnings!
