I am Mindfully Present

The deeper I have delved into my spiritual work, the more I have realized the importance of being present. I have learned to appreciate each moment of each day as well as the necessity of balancing work with play and taking time for myself. For me, being present also involves forgoing technology whenever possible and taking a break from social media.

I have especially noticed the following scenario repeating itself. When I want to be on the Internet and Spirit doesn’t want me to be on it, my internet connection slows down to the point that I get frustrated and get off of it voluntarily or it will have a “time-out” period and kicks me off. The feeling of frustration is more of a realization with a smile rather than animosity. I definitely recognize that this is their way of keeping me off social media and focused on the work I should be doing.

Specifically, I have really been limiting my Facebook time for the past few months. I recognize that whatever I post on Facebook, whether it is on my personal page or on one of my three fan pages, is being published on the front page of the “world newspaper” for all to see. I am extremely cognizant of my thoughts, words, and actions and the Law of Attraction. What I send out comes back to me.

As I am forging ahead, I recognize the need to allow myself to feel what I am feeling and to also establish better boundaries for myself. I have always been an extreme giver, and I acknowledge that I need to give to myself as well. I feel like it is necessary for me to do this because there is only so much of me to go around on a daily basis. I strive for balance rather than feeling pulled in all directions.

In addition, I found that it was also necessary for me to establish boundaries with friends, family and clients especially since I work from home. I have implemented work days and hours for myself and made them known. By respecting my own time, these individuals are respecting my time as well. I am vigilant about honoring others’ boundaries as well even though they may not have verbally established any for themselves. I’m honoring their light as I desire my own light to be honored.

Furthermore, I really enjoy writing because it feels good to express myself. Many times, I feel like I “check out” and just write. The right words always come to me. I recognize that if I type the words that come into my mind, I can’t go wrong. I have been using this strategic plan for years even before I was fully awake (spiritually conscious). I know now that it is a form of channeling or automatic writing. I am listening to the guidance I am receiving whether it is from my guides, angels or Higher Self. Utilizing writing as an outlet for me to express myself, I am tapping into the guidance I am receiving and conveying this guidance to others through written word. As I write, I am fully present in the moment.
